Al B. Sure!

R&B singer/songwriter/producer Al B. Sure! was born on June 4th, 1968 in Boston, Massachusetts but grew up in Leonia, New Jersey and Mt. Vernon, New York. Between 1988 and 2009 he released four albums produced mostly by [a=Kyle West]. In 1988 he teamed up with the rapper [a=Slick Rick] for his single [url=http://www.discogs.com/Al-B-Sure-If-Im-Not-Your-Lover/release/1872572]"If I'm Not Your Lover"[/url], included in his debut album [r=260564] that went on to sell more than two million copies. In the same album, were included his crossover quiet storm mega hit [r=566189] his biggest ever hit (#7 in the U.S. pop charts and #1 in the U.S. R&B charts, nominated for Grammy for Best Vocal R&B Male Performance) and his cover of [r=609288] (which [a=Lori Lieberman] first recorded in 1971 but [a=Roberta Flack] made it an all time classic in 1973.) In 1989 [a=Quincy Jones] chose him to sing along with [a=Barry White], [a=El DeBarge] and [a=James Ingram] on the smooth soul suite [url=http://www.discogs.com/Quincy-Jones-The-Secret-Garden-Sweet-Seduction-Suite/release/2846251]"The Secret Garden (Sweet Seduction Suite)"[/url] that was included in his double platinum album [url=http://www.discogs.com/Quincy-Jones-Back-On-The-Block/release/1584322]"Back On The Block"[/url]. As songwriter and producer, Al B. Sure! introduced [a=Jodeci], [a=Tevin Campbell], [a=Faith Evans], [a=Dave Hollister], [a=Case] and [a=Usher].
