[a=Extreme Smoke] was formed in the beginning of 1990, in the city of Nova Gorica and was the first noise and grindcore band from Slovenia. They changed their band name between "[a=Extreme Smoke]" and "Extreme Smoke 57" in the years 1991 to 1993.
They split up in 1993 and three members went to form the grindcore band [a=Deeper Than World] (D.T.W.).
In 2008 they decided to reunite, now under the "Extreme Smoke 57" moniker.
