The Pyramids (3)

Spiritual Afro-jazz-influenced ensemble founded by [a857508], [a3668999] and [a1075977] in Paris in 1972. The members met at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio and were students of [a195812]. The group recorded three independent albums ([m=232894] in 1973, [m=479603] in 1974 and [m=232893] in 1976), and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area before disbanding in 1977.

The group reformed and began releasing new music on the [l1213] label in 2016, reissuing their 1970s albums as well as archival recordings.
