- Time-Life released 28 mail-order volumes in this series between 1998 and 2003. All are two-CD sets, with colored spines, script writing on the spines, and lacking a Time-Life logo in the bottom right corner of the front artwork.
From 1999 to 2006, Time-Life also released a relatively large number of retail-only sets in this series. Confusingly, some use the exact same title and/or the same artwork as a corresponding mail-order volume. About 75% are one-CD sets, with the others being two-CD sets. All have black spines, all use the same sans serif font on the spine, and most (all?) have a Time-Life logo in the bottom right corner of the front artwork.
