Phonothèque Nationale Et Musée de la Parole de l'Université de Paris: the Archives de la Parole (= Archives of the Word/Speech) were created in June 1911 within the Paris University / La Sorbonne, with the purpose of collecting words and speeches recordings around the world, through the collaboration between Ferdinand Brunot from the Paris University and Emile Pathé, co-founder of the company Pathé (Disques Pathé contributed actively by creating a dedicated recording studio in the University and by enriching the archives stock), basement of the Musée de la Parole et du Geste founded in 1928 (=Museum of Words/Speech and Gestures) with the involvement of Léon Gaumont, founder of the company Gaumont, and eventually in 1938 the Phonothèque Nationale (=National Sound Library) was created, in association with the Musée de la Parole.
