In 1973 following the renaming of The Gramophone Co Ltd. to EMI Records Ltd., the rights to the trademark were reassigned to that company.
Note:
On the 3rd June 2003 the rights to the trademark are subsequently further reassigned from EMI Records Ltd. to HMV (IP) Ltd., an intellectual property holding company for HMV Group.
