In 2016, following an extended ~15-year hiatus, Yamanouchi reactivated both the Gerogerigegege band and Vis A Vis Audio Arts label, and produced the first 'comeback' release on VAVAA in Nov '16, an release CD with 26 renditions of Gerogerigegege classic hits and hidden gems by Giht Shasie (Croatia), Michael Gillham (UK), Bungus (Canada), Porreria (Brazil), Noise Soneta (Bali), Blue Sabbath Black Fiji (Scotland), and other international underground noisemakers.
'Art Is (C)over' was essentially an expanded re-issue of an obscure 2015 bootleg tape release released by a Dutch label Ontregeld Geluid Records. Juntaro Yamanouchi reused both the compilation's title and most tracks from it without any permission. This led to a creation of an entire series three years later, which focused on re-releasing some particular bootlegs of classic Gerogerigegege releases, rather than the original albums themselves.
Three cassettes were re-released so far, each limited to 50 copies: 'release,' a single-sided 'release' (which actually had artwork carefully edited to change the original "...(170 Songs CD)" title), and unidentified 'Senzuri Champion' bootleg.
