Established on May 8, 1989, it was - until the constitution of Sonopress-Rimo in 1993 - the Brazilian factory for BMG/Ariola/RCA CDs with matrices coming from the German Sonopress. In 1993 VAT was incorporated by Videolar, becoming the CD and CD-ROM division of Videolar Da Amazônia S.A., which already existed as a manufacturer of Cassettes and VHS
