    This budget label was obviously launched in 1972 by WEA International Inc. and used by several national branches in Europe and Australia.

    The label was introduced in the UK in november 1974. Pressings with 'Made in UK' and (c) (p) 1973 exist, but the combination county = UK and release date = 1973 is impossible.

    Hence, many releases show a 1972 date but were released later. For this reason, please always try to specify the company as printed on the release. The series should be added, too.
    Often you can find different label versions that hint for different release dates, so it is desirable to provide images to get clear for the exact version. Please always denote the rights society and the label code, if available.

    Especially with German pressings, the printed release date causes much confusion. Initial releases were a product of Kinney Music GmbH. The company was renamed approximately end of 1972 or early 1973 to WEA Musik GmbH, so it appears unlikely that releases with a WEA credit were released in 1972.
