- The "Herald" series was introduced by Unicorn Records (3) in 1971. It was advertised in Oct 1971 edition of Gramophone: "First issues in our new HERALD series which will further enhance our reputation for quality recordings of a varied and adventurous repertoire", specifically mentioning the releases UNS 239, UNS 237 and UNP 400.
Earlier releases were subsequently reissued as part of this series.
Add this series in cases where the release has either:
- blue labels with "UNICORN HERALD" text
- the seated unicorn above "HERALD" text branding on the cover.
The series should be used in addition to the main label.
