One of the earliest recording studios owned by Columbia Records in New York City, originally located on the 7th floor at 799 7th Ave. Opened in the 1930s(?). Closed 14 October 1966.
In 1960 two smaller studios were combined into one larger area and what was once a penthouse roof was raised to give the height needed for the best recording acoustics. Housed the so-called Studios A and D.
