Ian Dury And The Blockheads - Do It Yourself

The album was released on the 18th of May 1979. As part of a huge publicity stunt, which also included such promotional items as badges (featuring individual band members), paintbrushes, wallpaper, wallpaper ties and even earrings in the shape of a paint pot & brush, Stiff Records released the album in the UK with 12 sleeve designs, each one a different Crown Wallpaper design, created by the late Barney Bubbles (Stiff's in-house designer at the time). However, an unknown number of sleeve designs were released outside the UK, and it has been confirmed (by Discogs members, other collectors & fans) that there are at least 36 different sleeves.
