This is the second CD pressing that was Made in France by M.P.O. and issued without a barcode. For the first issue featuring the original LP cover art (with the blue border) and no barcode, see [r3260022].
The original LP was released November 12, 1984. Rough Trade reissued the album in its first CD pressings in December 1985, cataloged as Rough CD 76. According to the Smiths information archive "Passions Just Like Mine," Rough CD 76 appeared in five variations: U.K. original release with same artwork as the LP showing a large blue border around the cover photo and four releases with revised artwork cropped closer on the cover photo. Those four releases with the revised cover were made in Japan, France (no barcode), France (with barcode), and England. This is the version made in France without a barcode.
Tracks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 14 and 15 from the BBC Radio 1 John Peel Show.
