A. Silver Machine 4:35
B. Seven By Seven 5:20
Track A Recorded "Live At The Roundhouse", February 13th 1972.
This picture disc comes in a clear heavy poly jacket.
10th Anniversary re-issue (2nd re-issue).
1st time on picture disc.
The standard 2nd re-issue version 7" on black vinyl was released on Liberty but with United Artists labels, UA catalogue number and picture sleeve with Liberty logo. Also released with Liberty labels without picture sleeve. The 12" had Liberty labels and Picture sleeve. This one has the UA catalogue number as well.
Although the 'B' Side says 'Seven By Seven' was recorded at Rochfield (which is in itself a typo - it should say Rockfield!) it is in fact the live version from "The Space Ritual" LP which was used in error. The original 1972 release contains the Rockfield Studios recording.
To confuse things even more some mis-pressings exist that play 'Ask Me Why' by The Beatles on the 'B' Side instead of 'Seven By Seven'. (nb: 'Ask Me Why' was also reissued around the same time as it was the 'B' Side of the 20th Anniversary Picture Disc 7" of 'Please Please Me'. Both artists at the time were on EMI subsidiary labels).
