Hanover Band

Classical Music Orchestra based in Brighton. One of the UK’s most distinguished period instrument orchestras. The Hanover Band was formed in 1980 by its Artistic Director, [a=Caroline Brown], in order to perform the music of the " Hanover Era (1714-1830) on original instruments from this period. Its members include some of the leading European specialists in the practice of historical interpretation. The size, make-up and instruments of the Hanover Band reflect the Vienna Orchestra model from around 1800.
