Angelo Badalamenti (March 22, 1937, Brooklyn, New York – December 11, 2022, Lincoln Park, New Jersey) was an American composer, arranger, conductor, keyboardist, producer and vocalist.
Well-known for his work in film and television, notably his many collaborations with director [a47572].
Badalamenti played piano and French horn as a teenager before studying at the Manhattan School of Music. After graduating he landed a job at a music publisher, where he wrote songs under the pen name [a=Andy Badale] throughout the 1960s and early 1970s.
Badalamenti received a lifetime achievement award at the 2008 World Soundtrack Awards, and the Henry Mancini award in 2011.
