? a.k.a. Orion was in fact club singer Jimmy Ellis, born in Orrville, Alabama on 26th February 1945, died 12th December 1998.
His fans remarked how closely he spoke and sang like Elvis to which he said it was just a coincidence. Ellis, who also wore a mask, although recording as a Presley soundalike as far back as the late 60s, was the first to exploit Elvis's death and notoriously attempted to convince listeners that the King had faked his own death and had returned to performing.

His record releases were on Sun Records, the very label on which Elvis had started, however by the time Ellis' first recordings were issued it was owned by Shelby Singleton who had acquired the back catalogue.

The US sleeve for one of his singles (Save The Last Dance For Me, released under the names Jerry Lee Lewis & Friend) carried an endorsement from the song's composer, Doc Pomus, stating that he was sure it was Elvis. A voice test on the television programme Good Morning America confirmed that the mystery voice was indeed Elvis.
