• Marinos Gavriel was a Greek rebetiko singer, (guitar initially &) bouzouki player, and composer. Born in 1919 in Piraeus, Greece - Died in 1977 in Kallithea, Athens, Greece.
  His professional career as a musician started when he was 17 years old and for this he was known as Marinakis. Before the war, he collaborated with almost all the great rebetiko composers. After the war, he retired from the stage and worked as a butcher, while in the last years of his life he ran a kebab shop in Kallithea, Athens.
