Fabio

British Drum 'n' Bass DJ and occasional producer, born in September 1964. Ex-resident DJ at Drum 'n' Bass nights Speed, Tempo, Promised Land and resident DJ/promoter at Swerve. Hosted radio shows on Phase One, Radio 1, Kiss FM and Rinse FM. He is the founder and owner of the [l=Creative Source] label.
Fabio's nickname came from his time on Brixton-based pirate station Phase One around 1984 when he was asked to come up with a DJ name before his first show. He remembered a conversation with a girl he knew about baby names and thought "Fabio" was a great one. He introduced himself as "DJ Fabio" and the name stuck.
