Paul Gardiner

British musician who played bass in [a=Tubeway Army], and later for [a=Gary Numan]; with whom he had 3 consecutive no.1 albums. On the retirement of Numan in April 1981, he chose to go solo, unlike his fellow bandmates who went on to form [a=Dramatis]. His untimely death was due to a heroin overdose in Limetrees Park, Northolt, and as a close friend, Numan has paid many musical tributes to him.
