- Основана в 1950 году Alfred Deller (контратенор, 1912 - 1979) как дирижер и солист в репертуаре ранней английской музыки. В 1964 году сын Деллера, Mark Deller, присоединился к ансамблю Деллеров, также как контратенор. Он возглавлял ансамбль после смерти своего отца в 1979 году до его роспуска в 1986 году.
