Coliseum club opened on 17/09/1993, created by five different business partners, friends and family. The project was originally conceived at the beginning of 1993, from the necessity and will to create a new alternative concept to the famous Spanish "Ruta del Bakalao". DJ Frank, Pedro Aguirre and Jose Clavería were the ideologists behind the concept. The club is currently managed by the same family.
DJ Frank, DJ Ricardo and DJ Rommo were the first three resident dj's, the latter just for a couple of months. Other resident dj's were Javi Aznar (1995 - present day) DJ Kuki (2004 - 2011) and DJ ADN (2005 - 2008).
Coliseum is famous for its well-known festivals such as Roma, Hell, Exalumnos, History or Memorandum. A lot of maxi-singles, promos and compilations have been released under its name. Coliseum Records and Colisound Records were the two Spanish music labels associated to the club in the past. Coliseum has also a store in Zaragoza (Spain), where merchandising, music, vinyls, clothing and tickets for their festivals are sold.
