- Nordiska Polyphon Aktiebolaget (abbreviated Nordiska Polyphon AB) was a Swedish record company based in Stockholm. Founded in 1921 as a subsidiary of German Polyphonwerke A.-G.. In the beginning it operated exclusively as a distributer, but from 1923 the company started conducting their own recordings of local artists, releasing shellacs on the Polyphon Musik label. Recording managers (inspelningschef) were Helge Lindberg (1926-31) and Kurt Ekeroth (1931-33). In 1933 the company was renamed to Polydor.
