Marketing series used to highlight the introduction of stereo on numerous labels immediately owned by The Gramophone Co. Ltd. (later EMI Records Ltd.).
In 1987, various digitally remastered Studio 2 Stereo recordings were reissued in the Studio 2 Digital series. In 1988 this series was renamed simply Studio 2 until it ended in 1992.
The orignal Studio 2 Stereo branding was used in the series The Sound Gallery (2) in 1995.
The final appearance of Studio 2 Stereo was in 1998 and 1999, where it lent its name to a series of double CD compilations with the subtitle '2 ORIGINAL ALBUMS ON A DOUBLE CD' (although the branding Studio 2 was used throughout 1998 before the full name reappeared).
