A.K.A. Amigo Recording Studios; Amigo Sound Studios, Burbank, CA; Warner Bros. Recording Studios (Amigo); Warner Bros. Recording Studios, North Hollywood
Founded by producer Snuff Garrett in 1968, the studio was acquired by Warner Bros. in 1971. It was purchased by Chet Himes in 1984, and demolished in 2004.
Operated a Neumann VMS 70 with SX 74 cutter head and SAL-74 rack, which was upgraded in 1985 to a Neumann VMS 80.
The studio also had plans to install a [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_metal_mastering]DMM system], a Neumann VMS 82, but it never happened.
