- The Dutch Record company started in 1978, bringing together the local repetoire departments of Negram B.V. and B.V. Bovema.
Bovema Negram B.V. owned the Bovema Negram label and distributed the [url=https://www.discogs.com/label/2564-Harvest]EMI, Harvest] label.
In 1980 the company was discontinued or possibly merged into EMI Records Holland B.V..
In 1978 EMI operations were divided between EMI Records Holland B.V., which handles popular repertoire of foreign origin,
and Bovema Negram B.V., devoted mainly to finding and developing Dutch talent.
It has become a concentrated, streamlined operation based on a cut-back roster of 35 talented artists. Top of the local roster in terms of international sales so far were Pussycat (2). The company liked to concentrate on no more than two or three single releases every two weeks, but promoted those few singles over a longer period.
The company headquarters was a Swiss chalet-type building in Heemstede, the famous Gramophone House. It was popular with artists who appreciate its cozy atmosphere. Based there, the records division - headed by Nico Geusebroek - controlled the two companies EMI Records Holland B.V. and Bovema Negram B.V.. The general manager was Kees Baas, responsible for press & promotion was Kees Helleman.
