Test pressings for the unreleased Original Recordings Group 45rpm reissue. The label released an SACD reissue of the title in 2015, and while the 45rpm vinyl reissue was posted for preorder online around the same time, it was never released, and those preorder listings were eventually discontinued.
Runouts have Bernie Grundman inscribed in cursive - typical of many of his 45rpm cuts - along with the ORG catalog number. Promo info featured on preorder listings stated this release was “Mastered from the Original Master Tapes by Bernie Grundman.”
The preorders also noted the release would be pressed by [l66254], whereas these test pressings were pressed at [l321797]. There are no inscribed indicators in the deadwax runouts of any involvement by RTI.
Sides A and C have Gotta Groove test pressing labels with handwritten info indicating job number and title. Original Recordings Group is not noted or written on the labels, only in matrix runout, ie. the ORG174 catalog number. Sides B and D have the Gotta Groove "G" label graphic without text. Both discs are labeled A/B (these are generic plant labels); LP1 and LP2 for this set are instead specified by A/B and C/D, respectively, in the handwritten info.
