For this LP, The Bad Seeds were Mick Harvey, Blixa Bargeld, Thomas Wydler, Conway Savage, Martyn P. Casey, Jim Sclavunos and Warren Ellis.
Recordings engineered by Paul Corkett at Abbey Road, London in July '96. Further recordings at Sarm West, London (Abbey Road recordings assisted by Paul Hicks / Sarm West recordings assisted by Paul Wright). Mixed by Flood at The Church, London in September '96 (Assistant Chris Scard).
Printed inner sleeve with lyrics. The first line on "Green Eyes" is an extract from a sonnet by Louise Labé translated by L. Norman and K. Emck.
This version is a repress from pressing plant Damont under use of the original metal masters from pressing plant P.R. Records Limited and can be identified by a wide groove at the label area. The first print run had been pressed at P.R. Records Limited and thus shows two thin rings around the center hole instead (see pictures).
Also, the front cover of the first print run has glossy lettering on an otherwise matte sleeve and the die-cut on the inner sleeve is oval. The cover of this repress is fully matte, the colors are slightly duller and the die-cut on the inner sleeve has a longer, more edgy shape.
