(In regard to "Special electronic modifications on Captain Beefheart's band equipment..." - For the 'field recordings' at the The Magic Band House; Kunc used a Shure eight-channel mixer remounted in a briefcase. The outputs of the briefcase mixer fed a Uher portable tape recorder. This tape machine was also used direct by the band to capture episodes. "The Blimp" was 'phoned in to FZ's studio console at The Log Cabin - it also contains The Mothers, performing the drum-passage to "Charles Ives" [aka "Didja Get Any Onya?" [r546950]] which was resident on the console.)
