Matrix numbers
During the 1990s, 4 or 5 digit catalogue numbers were assigned and shown in the CD matrix area. This numbering format was also employed by the Australian plant while as SMA. For example:
[r4806517]
Matrix: SM 3136 CS00033
More recently, a 10 digit number beginning with 61 has been employed for Australian releases. It is usually accompanied by an SM logo in the matrix, but not always. For example:
[r10462584]
Matrix: 5186571512 6111101359 [SM logo] ifpi LR11
IFPI 79** - Some of these can be linked to the plant in Waterloo, Sydney, Australia (1995-2005); Silverwater, Sydney (2005-present)
