With a remit to release singles and albums connected to TV and radio programmes (plus a few royal souvenirs and other oddities), its output has been extremely varied and takes in a large amount of spoken-word material as well as music in a wide range of styles. Of most interest to electronics fans are the numerous releases from the Corporation's own BBC Radiophonic Workshop and some of the more experimental theme music singles which appeared during the 70s and 80s.
